Now is the best time to upgrade to version 4 if you have a previous version. If you plan to replace your PC, you will probably end up with a computer that comes with the new Vista operating system. Previous versions of The Paper Tiger are not compatible with Vista, so please keep this in mind when making your decision about what verison of The Paper Tiger you choose to use.

- Google does not have preview function
- Google indexes only a handful of file types (EasyReach supports 350+ types)

IMPORTANT SECURITY NOTE: Google’s remote search works by caching YOUR information on THEIR servers. In other words, files from your computer are copied – unencrypted – from your computer to Google’s servers, where Google indexes the information and allows you to search it. If you do a Google search on "Google Desktop, Gartner", or "Google Desktop, Electronic Frontier Foundation" it will yield lots of warnings and thumbs down on the "free" Google Desktop Search tool.
EasyReach does not store ANY of your data on their servers. All of your information remains on YOUR hard drive or server. EasyReach provides an encrypted pathway back to your computer that is protected by three levels of security. You must have an EasyReach username and password, the desktop password, and if using a BlackBerry – must use the particular blackberry that was configured to work with it.
